Highlights
Bali’s steep slopes and looming volcanoes can be a challenge for amateur cyclists, but this half-day downhill bike tour ensures the most spectacular views with minimal effort. Pedal your way down the Kintamani volcano, through the UNESCO-listed rice terraces and the handicraft villages of Ubud, then refuel with a delicious lunch or dinner.
Your tour begins with a pick-up from your Bali hotel and a transfer to your starting point, high on the slopes of the Kintamani volcano. After being paired with a suitable bike, follow your guide on a thrilling downhill cycling tour.
Along the way, jump off to explore an organic plantation and take a walk through the UNESCO-listed rice terraces, one of Bali’s most photographed sights. Learn about the pioneering ‘subak’ system – the Balinese cooperative irrigation system – for which the terraces are known, as you admire the views over the rice paddies. Pass through the handicrafts village of Ubud, where artisans use traditional methods to create wood carved souvenirs, silver jewelry, and colorful woven textiles. Finally, arrive in Ubud, where you’ll head to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch or dinner (included).
